In Force Interview Course
ONE TO ONE IN FORCE INTERVIEW PREPARATION COURSE (1 DAY) COST £349
Although other companies provide one to one training on request, we provide only one-to-one coaching and training. We do this because we recognise that every person who is pursuing a career in the police service is different and therefore has differing training needs. By coaching and training you on a one to one basis, it allows for your individual training needs to be fully identified and a pin- point focus to be applied to your development. One to one training and coaching offers the individual developmental opportunities that are not always available in a group setting
Uniquely, our police recruitment courses are delivered only by fully qualified training staff. All trainers have a full and comprehensive theoretical and, very importantly, practical knowledge of the current methods of police recruiting. All have been members of Police Recruitment In-Force Interview Panels and have interviewed hundreds of potential police officer recruits.
All training materials together with lunch, tea/ coffee and snacks throughout are included in the cost of £349
About The In-Force Interview and The Course
A percentage of Police Forces have added an extra element to the selection process. Many refer to this as, ‘The In-Force Interview’. This interview generally takes place during the weeks following a candidate’s success at the Assessment Centre.
This part of the process is a structured job interview where the interview panel will ask questions relating to your application and then probe and explore your responses. This interview allows Forces to examine your motivation and commitment. It also allows them to discover more about you and your understanding of the policing role. They will test your knowledge of the Force to which you have applied and revisit policing competencies.
This one day course you will allow you to:
- Understand the purpose of the interview and why some Forces have opted for this additional selection stage.
- Understand the make up of the interview panel
- Understand the structure of the interview
- Understand what the panel is assessing and what they are looking for from you
- Examine common and not so common interview questions
- Deal with difficult questions
- Understand how to respond to questions in a way that will gain the best scores and grades.
- Understand the importance of non-verbal communication
- Build confidence
During the course, you will practise your developing skills. We will interview you on at least three occasions, each time extending the duration until you finally complete a full 30 – 40 minute interview. You will receive expert feedback and coaching throughout.
